Season 2 of 'Norman's Florida Kitchen' debuts this Sunday, June 1st! Season One, (available on Amazon Prime and Blackstone's Channel) took the cookbook author, memoirist, and cooking teacher across the state of Florida from the docks of Key West to the rich farm markets of the Gulf Coast. We also got an inside look at the progress of his eponymous restaurant, 'NORMAN'S Orlando' where over the course of season one we watched the in-progress construction and design of the large, modern space and during the last episode taken through to Opening Night and the party that it was!
For Season 2 of 'Norman's Florida Kitchen' the cooking goes deeper, always showcasing home-cooking, seasonally connected and globally inspired!'
Chef Van Aken joined forces with Creator/Director Nathan Lippy a few years ago to lay down the foundation and as he put it, "The show gives me great pleasure to share the fruits of our labors and pass them along to viewers everywhere!"
You can join in as they travel the state of Florida, shop, hang out, meet the locals and then he will cook, showing you all the moves learned in fifty years of cooking!

About Norman Van Aken - Norman Van Aken is known for introducing the term "Fusion" into due to a speech, he presented in Santa Fe in 1989. He is the only Floridian Chef recipient of the James Beard Foundation's 'Who's Who' in American Food and Beverage. He has also been a semifinalist for the "Best Chef in America." His namesake restaurant NORMAN'S, located in the Dr. Phillips area of Orlando was nominated as a finalist for "Best Restaurant in America." He was honored alongside Alice Waters and Paul Prudhomme as "One of the Founders of New American Cuisine" at Spain's International Summit of Gastronomy 'Madrid Fusión.' He is also the Culinary Director for the non-profit, "Get Cooking" which provides free cooking lessons to families of limited means. His streaming series, "Norman's Florida Kitchen" is airing on Amazon Prime and the Blackstone You Tube Channel.
